About
Erwin has been a diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioner for more than a decade. He has worked with non-profit organizations to plan and launch their DEI work. He also has more than 20 years of experience working across multiple sectors leading human resources, diversity recruitment, and learning and development. He holds an MBA in Management and Commercial Real Estate, and a Master’s in Training and Development from Roosevelt University and is passionate about building effective work cultures where every employee can reach their full potential and thrive.
He is CEO of Xoca Consulting, a firm focused on getting organizations off the ground with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He was previously Director of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Tides; Chief of Diversity Recruitment and Outreach at the Illinois Department of Transportation; and Chief of Human Resources at the Cook County Recorder of Deeds.
A decorated military veteran, he has had tours of duty in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He has also well-versed in anti-racism, organizational climate assessments, liberatory design, and multiple DEI-related frameworks. Erwin is based in San Francisco. He loves house music, meditation, and sneakers.
